This is not a middle-of-the-road amplifier, it says Philips on the front, but it is Marantz on the inside. A wolf in sheep’s clothing, but with as much as 2x80 watts at 8 ohms. This was the top of the line by Philips at the time, entirely made by Marantz. Produces a nice and warm sound, without exaggerated low tones, even at low volume. Easily controls small and large speakers. It is at its best in the evening with the modest blue lighting. This device is -on the inside and outside- as good as new.
