The Kiev 88 is the most famous of the Kiev cameras. Produced in the Arsenal factory in Ukraine, the Kiev 88 was a slight revision of the Salyut, which in turn was a copy of the Hasselblad 1600 F. 6x6 format. High-quality.
It has a standard Volna-3 80mm f / 2.8 lens, 100% complete.
The curtain shutter of the camera offers a range of shutter speeds from 1/1000 to 1 / 2 with "B" pose, all in manual exposure. The mechanism that lifts the shutter is connected to the mechanism of film advancing, thus preventing a double exposure of the film. The camera comes with Volna 3 (MC Arsat) lens. The lens is supplied with a special multilayer anti-reflection coating (MC) which improves image and enhance the contrast. The focal length is 80 mm, the relative aperture is 1:2.8, the maximum aperture is 22, minimum focusing distance is 0.6m. The focusing is done with the help of micro texture and a image split in the middle of the viewfinder through a glass with a frosted surface. The camera requires the use of interchangeable lenses. The lens is fixed with a bayonet nut. The viewfinder allows to observe the image on the frosted surface with or without a magnifying glass. The field of vision of the viewfinder is 53x53 mm.
