This original Rolls-Royce hubcap comes from a Silver Shadow model. This concerns a so-called ‘ventilated’ copy, as used from 1971 onward (chassis number 10500). The hubcap is made of stainless steel and therefore protected against rust. The centre ring can be removed and painted in any colour if preferred. One mounting clip is missing at the back, but this can be ordered at every Rolls-Royce specialist (for example Brabo from Hillegom, the Netherlands). Of course, after 40 years, the hubcap incurred some traces of wear but it does not show any dents or scratches. This copy has been cleaned entirely and is free of grease, mud or other traces of use. With 41.5 cm in diameter, this is a true eye-catcher for decorative purposes or as replacement for a dented or lost copy. Partly because of the heavy stainless steel, this hubcap weighs no less than 2 kg! These hubcaps are offered on the RR&B market for approximately 130 euros excl. shipping costs (see pictures).
