Daihatsu - Midget II - 1997

Daihatsu Midget type 2 directly imported from Japan with Dutch registration. Because the car is from Japan it has no rust from brine influences. The Midget type 2 is a follow-up to the Daihatsu's older three-wheel trucks, hence the narrow cabin. The car is rear wheel drive and has a very tight turning circle meant for short manoeuvring in city traffic. Normally, these pickups have 1 seat, the gearshift then is at the place of the passenger seat, this is one of the few pickup automatic versions with 2 seats. The control handle is attached to the steering column. The Midget is no voiturette, the car is called a 660 cc 3 cylinder with enough power to even to drive on the highway, the cruising speed will be about 80 a 85 km/h. The car can still get above the 100 km/h although the engine will make many rpm. The best is urban use or inner roads, the car accelerates smoothly. Can be viewed and picked up in Rilland, the Netherlands.
