Classic Philips tube radio 1952/1955

Nostalgic classic car Philips NX624V/06 from 1952/1955 with medium wave (MW) and long wave LW. This is a tube radio which - after 'warming up' - is functioning properly and of course needs 'fine tuning' with the transmitter search button. Thanks to the archive of Antique car stereo Madness we know that this type Philips was suitable for many classic brands from the early 1950s; Austin, 2CV, Opel, Volkswagen, and even Porsche (see the last photo). The Philips looks vintage but good, and has the original 1952/1955 faceplate and Philips knobs. For your classic car from the 1950s, this Philips is entirely ‘in period’ and still works fine. While testing various parts were 'refreshed' and the ‘vibrating' foot has been safely restored. The right button is for on/off and volume, the left button is for the channel search. The 4 preference keys were early 1950s an invention for, among other things, ease of operation and (traffic) safety. The Philips is switchable 6/12 volts and the grounding is also switchable (also on 6v!). On the inside of the 'current/power supply/amplifier part' you will find 2 schedules. The Philips is now set to 6V and regular Mass connection. If desired, the Philips can be set to 12V, prior to delivery. This 65-year old vintage Philips has some patina but is virtually original and still works fine. See the photos for the exterior condition, with a thanks to Antique Car Radio Madness and Radio-museum.org for the last 8 photos. This more and more rare Philips is offered with a **NORMAL RESERVE** for the enthusiast. The classic Philips will be sent carefully packaged, insured, and registered.
