Superb cast iron casserole dish branded Le Creuset. FUTURA N°26 model. Created by designer Jean louis Barrault. in 1987, as a tribute to Raymond Loewy who passed away on the previous year. Neck diameter: 26.5 cm. Weight: 4.8 kg. Beautiful enamel in a gradation of red. In good overall condition, perfect inside. Exterior: bright enamel. Enamelled cast iron has an ideal quality: it stores heat and releases it very slowly, which saves energy, especially on hotplates. Prior to using the pan for the first time, wash it as usual, pour some oil into the pan and heat until the oil has evaporated. Next, wipe the inside with a soft cloth or paper. Le Creuset utensils have a thick bottom that never loses its shape; they are designed for cooking, reheating, simmering on a low heat with the maximum efficiency and to brown and to sear. After use: let the pan cool down and wash normally. Use small quantities of detergent products. If food is stuck to the pan, let it soak. If spots appear, boil bleach diluted in water inside the pan. Overall weight: 6 kg.
