This Pioneer SA-500 amplifier is in good and beautiful condition and has recently been serviced. The amplifier has been fully cleaned on the inside and outside and various improvements have been made. The adjustment potentiometers for the quiescent current of the power transistors have been replaced for new ones. The old ones are prone to breaking and then they will bring great harm to the rest of the device. With the new ones, this risk is no longer present. Of course, the quiescent current has been adjusted again (following manufacturer’s specifications). Pioneer used different plugs for the speakers in this period, which are still hard to get. For that reason, an additional set of connections was mounted. These are suitable for connecting banana plugs (a set of four banana plugs is included). The power cord was replaced for one with a plug which fits in all sockets. The amplifier is in neat optical condition except for some light signs of wear. The button MODE | TAPE MON is not original, but has been replaced for one very similar to the original. The amplifier plays and sounds good, everything works properly.
