Turkish mauser bayonet M1935 with Arabic letters and marked ASFA

After Turkey had used derivative or scrapped bayonets from other countries (especially Germany) for decades, with the M1935 they developed their truly own bayonet. Almost all instances of this bayonet are stamped with "ASFA". This stands for "Askari Fabrika" or "military factory", located in Ankara. The M1935 fits all Turkish Mauser-versions. In terms of contours, there is a great similarity with the shortened versions of the M1890 bayonet. They can best be distinguished from each other based on the blade. The fuller of the M1935 ends a bit before the tip of the blade, while the fuller of the shortened M1890 continues until the tip. Numbered 9005 Photos are part of the description. Will be shipped by registered and insured mail via Post.NL.
