¶ The Turkenkalender 1942 is one of the best known, and also one of the most beautiful publications of the Blauwe Schuit. It was an anonymous protest against the German occupation with a selection of historic patriotic texts, ranging from psalms and songs from the Eighty Years’ war to poems of Vondel, Cats and Revius, opposite the beautifully made calendar pages.
Of the original edition of 120 copies now still approx. 100 copies are left. One of these was used for this facsimile edition.
