Vintage signed "Cleo Teissedre" Hopi storyteller figurine from 1986: Rare Hopi Pottery figurine. Beautiful vintage ' early Teissedre period ' from the 1980s Teissedre, story telling doll: a traditional Hopi mother sings/speaks to her nine small children who crawl everywhere around her. She is wearinga large turquoise necklace and earrings. Cleo Teissedre is a wonderfully talented self-taught Indian artist from Tuscon Arizona, who designs traditional native American pottery figurines. The figurines are hand-painted by Teissedre. Special hand-drawn figurines, storytellers and kachinas are the most sought after items by Tesseidre. Pottery figurines of Teissedre are increasing in price and are rarer as they disappear into private collections. No new pottery figurines are made.
