Beosound 9000 Limited Edition in pristine white Number 1418/1500

I think we can all agree that the word 'rare' is both overused and misused when applied to many items one sees for auction. However, in this case, it is actually most appropriate. Only 1500 of these beautiful machines were ever produced and this is number 1418. In 20 years of collecting B&O, I have only ever seen one of these for sale (see pictures) to second owners. Collectors guard them jealously as the chances of getting another one are virtually zero. So why am I selling mine? Well, I am downsizing an obsessively large B&O collection on the basis that it is cheaper than a divorce :-) The limited edition is a Beosound 9000 Mk. III with a heavy 'clear' glass cover, white mainboard (Corian?) and the limited edition number etched into the CD clamper. I will also include the original purchase invoice from B&O in the UK to add to the provenance. The vertical stand in the photographs is included in the auction and there is an additional bonus of a vertical wall bracket – also included. When it is professionally hung on a wall and the cables properly buried and hidden, it really does look like a work of art! See the first photo from the catalogue. All other photos are of the item which is for sale. We are in the UK and the item will be shipped fully insured by UPS and professionally packed. The item has just come back from a B&O authorised service dealer (B&O Bournemouth UK) where it has been fully serviced and tested before sale.
