beautiful shin gunto, typical of combat model with Saya and Tsuka covered with leather. Blade forged with mekugi signed, punch of arsenal of inspection/acceptance: Showa period after 1926 (see book Richard Fuller page 82). Tsuba in bronze with a hitsuana: orifice for the passage of the tab in leather for fixing to the scabbard (seppas of different colour). The saya is in wood with its leather sheath, fixation by lacing, there is a reinforcement at the end of the Saya. The Tsuka is in black lacquered wood, simplified version on these models, there are two thin wooden wedges for the fitting on the frame. The blade is in good condition, it has never been cleaned or re-polished! It has a few dents on the cutting edge, the different sides of the blade is very clear and not deteriorated.
