Alberto Meda - Luceplan - Fantastic design Titania hanging lamp
The Titania seems to be floating in the air, like a Zeppelin. The body consists of a frame made of aluminium with the light source in its centre. The pendant light comes with colour filters and can also be suspended slantingly. In this way, this lamp offers its user many options as regards individual stylistic choices. The Titania pendant light is a design by Alberto Meda and Paolo Rizzatto from the year 1989. The unconventional Luceplan Titania was awarded the “Concours de la Lampe d’Or SIL/Paris”, the “Design Plus” and the much-desired “Compasso d’Oro-ADI”.
The Titania pendant light stands out because its unusual ribbed shape and the individually adjustable light that is cast sideways. The central part of the striking, elliptical body contains a light source. When one (or two) of the included colour filters is put in at the sides, then the light of the body will go through these filters. The central part of the Luceplan Titania keeps casting pure white light upward and downward. The result: a stunning light scenario that creates a picturesque ambiance in every environment.
Coloured light to the sides and white light downwards.
Can be positioned in various ways.
