Richard Zimmermann - RZB - Ceiling lamp in Bauhaus style - 1

Well made mid-century ceiling lamp by Rudolf Zimmerman in Bamberg (RZB) with a glass shade according to Bauhaus design ideas. Can also be mounted to the wall as a wall lamp. Shade of milky white satin glass. The etched satin glass provides a beautiful even distribution of the light. The lamp dates from the 1970s and has the famous patented DKN system that RZB introduced in 1960 and still uses. The mouth-blown opal glass fixture is placed on the holder under light pressure, during which the edge of the glass activates the tilting and fastening mechanism. The springs compensate for the glass tolerances and also prevent damage during repeated removal and inserting. Because the shade is larger than the fixture, the fixture is almost completely invisible after installation. Signed on the fixture (embossing in the metal). Porcelain lamp socket. Uses 1 E27 light bulb. Supplied without cable, as this lamp is usually attached directly to the ceiling or wall socket. Measurements: Shade diameter: 25 cm Shade height: approx. 10 cm Mass: 940 g (shade and fixture) Condition: Very good. Glass shade is completely pristine. Outside free of signs of wear. Even the edge that leads into the fixture is fully free of damage and shows that the DKN system works perfectly! Some air bubbles in the glass caused during production, not due to use. Inside of the shade has some light signs of wear in the form of stripes, but that is completely out of sight. All parts are original. The metal fixture has discolouration from the metal and several white paint traces. Since the fixture is virtually out of sight after installation, these traces are out of sight. Please view the photos for more information. Registered shipping.
