R. Costa Duck Snack Tray, Bassano Italy. Ceramic snack tray made of white clay by Ceramiche Artistiche Costa, Bassano del Grappa Italy. An oval shape with a wavy raised edge and a skilful painted wild duck or mallard by R. Costa. The duck is in full colour on a nice crackled white background glaze. The base is signed 1445 Costa Made in Italy and two factory stamps. The imprinted factory stamps are not very clear. One with an amphora and the other with the word Bassano and the Ponte Vecchio. Because of the lays at each side ... and the clear duck, the object is probably never used as an ashtray. The diameter is 24,5, height 4cm, weight 581 gram. The condition is excellent.
