In good vintage condition a unique ceramic designer vase by the Dutch industrial designer Hella Jongerius for Ikea Sweden, a design from 2005. The model is called PS Jonsberg. This version with perforated holes is currently most sought-after by collectors. This heavy vase was released in four different editions. Different ceramic techniques were used for the same archetypical shape, such as earthenware and porcelain. The colours and decorations are also different in each vase, they refer to various parts of the world: the Soviet Union, Africa, Asia and Europe, see the last series of photos. Measurements: height 34 cm x diameter 30 cm Weight: 3 kg Background information: Wilhelmina Maria Cornelia (Hella) Jongerius (1963) is a Dutch industrial designer. Jongerius studied at the Design Academy Eindhoven, where she graduated in 1993. In 2001 she founded the design studio Jongeriuslab in Rotterdam. In 2009 she moved her work to Berlin. In 2012 she became the art director of the Swiss company Vitra in Basel, in 2014 she also became the art director of the Finnish Artek company. From 1998 to 2002 she worked as a teacher at the Eindhoven Design Academy in the 'Living' department and was the head of the 'Studio' department.
