Antique German boar-hunting sword (schwein-degen), early 19th Century with stabing blade (hirschfanger). A hunting boar sword is a type of sword single-handed used during hunting parties. Among Europeans used from 17th to the 19th Century,this type of sword usually has a straight pointed blade for finishing off. Wooden grip handle. Bronze gross-bar shape. No scabard. Round bronze pommel. Measures; 84 cm. Condition; In good,used condition, two small hairlines in the wooden grip/handle, because of the working of the wood and a dent in the cross-bar, all wear is age and use related, see photos.
