Old COGNAC Otard Dupuy & C°, three star Chateau de Cognac very rare. (dating from the 30s and 40s) Label well preserved good level Used tin capsule, aged, but no leaks. The Otard cognac trading house was founded during the Revolution in 1795 under the name "Otard Dupuy & Cie" by two major owners of the region: Baron Otard Keith de la Grange and Jean Dupuy d'Angeac. In 1796, Otard and Dupuy acquired the Château des Valois de Cognac where François I, King of France in 1494 (sold as a national property during the Revolution) was born. They set up the headquarters of the house and the eaux-de-vie cellars there. When the baron died in 1824, the management was taken over by his sons, then by the heirs. After the Second World War in 1945, the company's name was changed to "Cognac Otard SA", as the family was no longer represented. The Martini & Rossi group, merging with the Bacardi Group in 1992, took control and formed the company "Château de Cognac SA" by grouping together the Otard, Gaston de Lagrange and Exshaw brands. ------------------- Vieux COGNAC Otard Dupuy & C° , three star Chateau de Cognac très rare .
