Very nice pewter vase/pitcher by Jean Garnier. In very good condition, it depicts a naked young woman, a child and a carrot. The artist and vases are described in the book by the specialist and great collector Philippe Dahhan "Etains 1900" (see photos) The original model was made and sold to the Publisher Petizon (which owned a foundry) in 1897 for 75 francs. As a private collector for over thirty years of Art Nouveau and Art Deco pewter items, I was keen to have a collection in magnificent condition. All my pieces have been carefully restored by an Artisan of Art as soon I acquired them, which explains the very good condition of those offered for sale on Catawiki (for information I only sell pewter piece).
