Plate - Rice grain - Porcelain - China - Guangxu (1875-1908)
An excellent porcelain plate, measuring 24cm in diameter and weighing 490g, finely painted in underglaze blue with river landscape featuring a figure crossing a bridge and another in a rowing boat. The wide rim is decorated with overglaze polychrome enamels and so-called 'rice grain' technique, which is achieved by piercing holes in the unfired clay, and allowing translucent glaze to fill them.
Condition: Very good, no damages or repairs. A few tiny flea bites to the rim, see pictures.
