This Series 2600, nicknamed the ‘Nez-Cassée’ or "Broken Nose", is an electric locomotive with type 25 kV 50 Hz as was formerly used by the Portuguese Railways. They are closely based on the design of the SNCF Class BB 15000 locomotives. These locomotives were styled by Paul Arzens, and were designed by Groupement 50Hz (a French consortium headed by Alsthom) and were deployed as from 1974. Of the 12 locomotives that were built, 9 were still in service in 2012. They had a top speed of 160 Km/h. The photos form an integral part of the description of this lot.
