Rare Vallauris ceramic vase or planter. Signed by famous French ceramicist Louis Giraud (1897-1985). The Vallauris brand is drawn in black on the back. Large model, 20 cm high with a diameter of 25 cm at its widest, rim opening: 15 cm. Decoration painted on blue background representing Asian style daisies and black and golden bamboo leaves revisited by the Art Deco of Southern France, work made circa 1930s. In good overall condition with some little paint chips on the back and some little wear marks on the body of the object, see pictures.
