Chanukia 9-armed Jewish candlestick with shammes! - Brass

Beautiful Hanukkiah. Also known as a 9-armed candelabrum. The candelabrum is made of copper or brass. Meaning: this candelabrum is used for the Jewish feast called Hanukkah. During the first night of the festival one candle is lit, during the second night the second candle is lit, etcetera, until the eighth night. The ninth candle, sjammes (Yiddish) or shamash, is the "servant candle" used to light the other eight candles and it serves as light source in general, because the other candles are traditionally not used for lighting purposes. The candelabrum is 25 cm high and 23 cm wide. Diameter base 9.5 cm. The photos are part of the description. Worldwide shipping with Track & Trace.
