Mille Miglia driver’s badge from 1950
Original vintage badge in the shape of an arrow with enamelled red emblem with golden lettering ‘1000 Miglia 1950’, marked on back ‘S. Johnson, Milano’ (Italy) with clip for button, weight 4.37 grams.
The badge is different from the normal versions as it shows the race date on it.
The seventeenth Mille Miglia, Brescia-Rome-Brescia, took place on 23rd and 24th April 1950 and it was over 1,645 km long from Brescia to Rome and back to Brescia, the badge belonged to driver Emilio Dansi (no. 345), who ranked 54th on the Lancia Aprilia.
Condition: preserved in perfect condition, as shown in photos
