Art Deco silver plated cutlery, 72-piece, in 5 original boxes.
Otto Leonard Wiskemann, who worked at Christofle at the start of his career,
deceased in 1946.
Hallmarks:
O + Wiskemann = silversmith, the O of Otto, very famous Brussels' Silversmith, exclusive outlets in Brussels, Antwerp, Ghent, Nice and later on also in
Bruges, Liège and Paris.
Very good quality silver platin, 72 parts - total weight of boxes with cutlery: 6.4 kilos.
12 large knives,
12 small knives,
12 large forks,
12 pastry forks,
12 large spoons,
12 dessert - c.q. coffee spoons.
The large knives have been newly honed.
The 5 original luxury boxes are in good condition, with the satin label of
Orfèvrerie Wiskemann and closures.
