2 Cast-iron ornaments or wall-plaques.
1) Funeral of the Hunter.
Wall plaque after a print by the Austrian-German painter Moritz von Schwind (1804-1871) 'Wie die Tiere den Jäger begraben'. The following can be seen on the ornament: At the front there is a boar wearing a long cloak with a shovel over his shoulder. Then two wolves with torches, and thereafter four deer that carry the bier on which a rifle and a hat have been placed. Underneath the bier there is a rabbit with a funeral wreath. Right at the back of the line there is a snivelling fox with a handkerchief.
Measurements are: Length: 61 cm, Width: 22 cm and Height: 3 cm. Weight: 400 g. The ornament is in very good condition.
2) Don Quixote on horseback, who wants to attack a windmill and behind him his companion Sancho Panza on a donkey. Unfortunately a small piece has broken off. Please see the photos. Measurements are: Length: 49.5 cm, Width: 20 cm and Height: 2.1 cm. Weight: 400 g.
