The infantry officer's broadsword made during World War I, most probably around year 1915.
Straigth blade with double fuller both sides, centrical tip.
Hilt made of nickel coated steel. The guard with foldable shield which contains a gilded Prussian Eagle with the cypher of the Kaiser on his breast, “WR2”. Bird clutches a scepter and an orb in his talons. Double knuckle-bow reaching pommel, black grip fixed with triple steel wire, Emperor's Willhelm II cypher applied to the grip. Inside of guard original leather thumb-ring (broken).
Steel scabbard with single carrying ring.
