The sword was exclusively available from Franklin Mint and the cost was 2000,- at the time, making it the most expensive sword Franklin Mint had ever issued. This sword including the display has never been offered on Catawiki. The sword and display are in a very, very good condition. However, the frame of the display has acquired some very minor damage, but that is negligible. Some photos show reflections of the flash on the display, which are not any damage. Produced in Spain (Toledo). The handle is entirely 24 carat gold-plated and silver plated and contains hand-inlaid crystal cabochons. The blade is made of very solid sword steel and thereafter treated with a protective finish whereby fingerprints and stains cause no damage, these can be easily wiped off with a dry cloth. As in the legend, the sword is also in a rock on the display. The rock is transparent so you can keep seeing the whole sword constantly. This sword is a must in any exclusive sword collection.
