Chinese Pillow Box. A wooden case, featuring a thin top layer (a type of leather?) that has been painted by hand with i.a. an Asian dragon and a phoenix, of which the details are gold plated. With copper clasps/handles. Dimensions: 25 x 10 x 9 cm In this type of chest valuables were put and it was used as a 'head pillow' to protect the goods. On the inside it is equipped with paper with Chinese symbols/calligraphy. This box is in very good condition, with minimal signs of use/age. Weight: approx. 750 g This lot will be carefully packaged and shipped by insured post with a track & trace code.
