Superb inkwell of late 1800 or early 1900, signed Nicolas Vidal made of spelter and patinated bronze. In a pure Art Nouveau style, this inkwell entitled "Chasseur et son Chien" represents the sculpted scene of a hunter in uniform coming to recover the partridge brought back by his dog. This unique piece is framed by 2 crystal inkwells with a flower-covered lid. The object is in good general condition for its age, the inkwells are in perfect condition. The patina is in good condition, no flaws. The traces that can be seen in the photos is encrusted dust, but it will disappear with a thorough cleaning. The only flaw is certainly the missing bench, originally at the back of the base. Very beautiful object with lots of history.
