Gino Valle - Solari - Advertising tag clock - Cifra 5

Cifra 5 won the Compasso d'oro in 1956, two years after Gino Valle, architect, designer and painter, had started his collaboration with the Udine company. Valle immediately started working on an electromechanical flipper clock, developed together with his sister Nani Valle, John Myer and graphic designer Michele Provinciali. The white timepiece is in perfect working order and tells time accurately. As you can see in the photographs, the paint has worn slightly on the back and it has rusted in parts. The Plexiglas on the front has some scratches but is intact. With respect to the model sold in stores, this has no support base because it was attached to the wall using a bracket (which is missing). Its dimensions are 28 x 15 x 12 cm. It weighs 2.450 kg. The clock will be shipped with its power cable.
