Rare Franklin Mint Bastet vase with 24-karat gilded accents and stand. Decorated with hieroglyphs that tell the story of the legendary cat goddess.
Designed by Egyptian scientist and artist Roushdy Iskander Garas.
Bastet was a fertility goddess n Egyptian mythology and was depicted as a cat. She is the goddess of joy, dance, music, feast, life and warmth.
She appeared from the 2nd dynasty onwards and was considered to be a protector of the pharaoh.
