Oleg Konstantinovich Popov (31-7-1930/2-11-2016) was a world-famous Russian clown. His performance as a clown fits in with the Russian Iwanuschka tradition; a combination of humor and tragedy where the clown seems to be stupid, but actually it isn't.
At the 8th International Circus Festival of Monte-Carlo in 1981, he received the coveted Gold Clown award as a tribute to his stellar career.
