This decorative music box shows a shabby-clad man who has clearly drank too much. He's standing by a lamppost and holding a bottle. A candle can be placed in the lantern pole. Tradition says that the candle can then be placed in front of the window so that the man will find his way home more quickly. At the bottom is a staff with the text 'la vie en rose'. When the bottom /foot is rotated, the music starts to play and the music box starts to spin around. At the bottom, the shield plate is missing - however, this is not disturbing (see the last photo).
