Leolux - Miniature chair in box - Ceramic

The icon of Leolux. This sitting ball was specially designed in 1989 for the home of the future and is still equally futuristic and agile. And perhaps therefore so successful. Pallone is a personality, the perfect eyecatcher for own-minded interiors. The limited version of Pallone was launched to celebrate the 75th anniversary of Leolux. Based on the most contemporary leather colours, the trend experts of Leolux selected eleven combinations of three colours. The eleven Pallones became personalities, with their own names and their own face. Pallone is decorated by Design Zentrum Nordrhein Westfalen, crowned as best Dutch Furniture Design in 2009 and decorated with the Design Preis Schweiz. Designer Roy de Scheemaker says the following about the Leolux Pallone: ‘My inspiration is based on Goldfinger, Barbarella and the comic strip ‘Baardmans’, without looking back in a nostalgic way or trying to imitate designs or colours. I wanted people to feel comfortable and make a nice composition at the same time. I have tried to design a floating cushion, although you do create a problem in your design with that and that needs to be solved. The back support is a clear addition, the legs are secondary. At the end, it all resulted in a movable, airy chair that sits very comfortably. Pallone, a chair that is funny and has humour’. It is 8.5 cm tall. The sides of the triangular seat are 10 cm. The object includes the original box and packaging and will be shipped with insurance and registration.
