Franklin Mint The Original Varga Girl Collectors Knives The artist Alberto Vargas created the famous Varga Girl Glamour Women for the magazine Esquire. The magazine's famous pin-up girls were found in all US military bases across the world. This colourful and complete set of 12 folding knives was issued by Franklin Mint in the 1990s. Each knife shows a different Vargas girl with the month/year in which she featured in the Esquire. The months and years that have been immortalized here are: October 1940, November 1940, March 1941, September 1941, October 1943, December 1943, January 1944, April 1945, May 1945, July 1945, September 1945, October 1947. This exciting collection is the complete 12 knife set, handmade in the style of the 1940s for collectors. All knives have the same size.
