Pottery in new condition - Rogier Vandeweghe, Perignem - 29 cm tall and 14 cm in width. Rogier was artistically educated in Sint-Lucas in Ghent (1940-1945) and id a short internship in 1947 at Joost Maréchal. Shortly after that, he started a ceramic studio with his brother Laurent Vandeweghe (1916-2002) in Aalter (1948-1949). After that, they built a larger company in Beernem on land owned by their father. It was called ‘Perignem’ (through fire). Rogier distinguished himself as the artistic leader and delivered the designs and also painted ceramic objects. He also started the production of stained glass windows in 1954.
