About Pegasus:
Pegasus was, according to Greek mythology, a winged horse. Pegasus was born from the blood of Medusa. His father was Poseidon.
Pegasus flew to Mount Helicon, where the nine Muses lived. On the spot where Pegasus hit the ground with his hooves, a sacred spring arose; the Hippocrene (the Horse Fountain). Whoever drank the water from the well was given the gift of poetry.
