4 chairs, Tonietta model, designed by Enzo Mari, 1987 Compasso d'oro award, with black varnished aluminium frame, black nylon seat and backrest. All in perfect condition, with original labels and die cast marks on the bottom of the seats and on the back of the backrests. The Tonietta chair is a successful example of a product born from a close and fruitful collaboration between company and designer. Started in 1981, the Tonietta project ended in 1985 after intense engineering research activity that became necessary in order to use the expensive, and until then, little tested aluminium die casting technology for the construction of the frame of a domestic chair.
