The Boyer is a Frisian yacht and has a length of 5.5- 12 meters, with the shape of a Frisian yacht but with foredeck and cabin structure behind the mast. It was an inland water vessel with a topsail and spritsail. Many of these Boyers were built in Joure, the Netherlands.”De Sperwer” is one of the best known Boyers. It is a beautiful ship built entirely of oak, detailed and with a beautiful appearance. Note for example the fittings at the rudder, very detailed, and the trusses of the hull, nicely visible in the photos. The Boyer is made entirely of wood and handmade.
