Production year: 1928-1956 Pedestal Measurements: 500 x 400 x 800 mm Weight: 65 kg The flywheel slicer model 8/21 is built in the factories of Maatschappij Van Berkel's Patent NV in Rotterdam, Netherlands. This is the second version of the Berkel model 8H slicer defined "Berkel model 21 first series" only for the Italian market, while for the rest of the world it is known as Berkel model 8h. It mounts a sharpener with detachable automatic pressure grinders and uses a sliding plate that can be moved automatically and by hand where an articulated arm with maximum opening is mounted for a safe and stable grip of the meat to be sliced. The sliding carriage is mounted on self-lubricating guides, guarded by an oval-shaped stainless steel protection, it slides through a bearing covered with a Teflon jacket to ensure greater smoothness and silence during operation. It features a helical gear assembly, a snap-on slice deflector and an endless screw cover. The slice thickness adjustment is at 15 positions and a 370 mm blade. The drive takes place via a full flywheel with a diameter of 360 mm. All the metal parts are originally chromed, in addition to the use of special stainless steel, especially in the parts in direct contact with the meat and the salt contained within them, keeping the machine fresh over time and use.
