Beautiful statue of Saint Anna in Threes.
The Virgin and Child with Saint Anne is a depiction from the Christian iconography of Saint Anne with her daughter Maria and her grandchild Jesus. Saint Anne became one of the best known and most popular Saints in the fifteenth century.
This statue is missing her left hand and is a little damaged in several places, jesus' head has been restored.
But despite this damage it is a beautiful sculpture, the age and origin of this image is unknown to me.
Dimensions: height 35 cm. width 13 cm, and depth 8 cm. Weight 1310 grams.
