Zanotta Gaetano table by Gae Aulenti, 1st series 1970/1971 The original Zanotta Gaetano glass table offered here is from the first or pre-series of Zanotta from 1970/1971. The uniqueness of the first copies is manifested in the craftsmanship of the production of the glass slab. In fact, on the surface on one of the short sides there are a total of 4 round glass melting dots arranged symmetrically (about 2 mm in diameter), on which the glass slab was suspended or fixed with mechanical fasteners during the tempering process. (see last picture). The original plans from later years up to 1980 no longer show these special features, as the manufacturing process of single-glazed safety glass has evolved. The table is in excellent condition except for a small chip on the back of the glass near the bottom. Insured shipping on request for €40.00 extra.
