The KD27 and KD28 table lamps were designed by Joe Colombo in 1967 for Kartell, a company that produces and sells contemporary plastic furniture. KD27 actually refers to the chrome/metal version, while KD28 refers to all other plastic lamps (white or coloured). 1970 Kartell catalogue reference number: 4028. KD28 is available in various colours. Other colours: green, brown, red, black, orange and white. Lime green, yellow and purple models were sold in Australia. Material: inner part in methacrylate, outer part in cyclac, Marbon ABS resin. Colour: milky white, bright red. It produces a pleasant and fascinating light.
