Chinese Congou tea or Black Brick Tea is selected from high quality black tea fabric.
When preparing the tea, the "Brick" is first broken and then steamed. A special taste is created when yak butter and salt are added.
Tea tiles are a Chinese invention that predates the T'ang Dynasty: tea was used as a barter currency, with a division placed in the back of the tile so that it could be easily broken to obtain change.
This tea tile is in a good condition, the weight is over 1,100 grams.
