Beautiful PTT 24, one of the most iconic French telephones of all time. These models were made from 1924 until the 1940s by various makers. This one is made by the Grammont company. It was used by the French PTT, the state telephone company. Bakelite handset, metal body. This version has a dial and mother in law receiver. Nickel plated parts in good condition. Bakelite also in fine condition. No chips or breaks. It is complete and original. The label on the dial is unwritten and clean. The paint is still in really good condition. All in all the telephone has very little wear and tear. It is in unrestored condition. All original parts. I gave it a quick clean and slight polish, as not keep the nice patina of age. Please mind, this telephone does not have a ringer or a signalling device. It was mean to function with an external ringer box. I did give it a technical check up and it works perfectly now. It dials out and receives calls. Transmission and reception have are loud and clear. I am a collector and restorer of antique telephones and have restorer hundreds of telephones over the years.
