On his back many ribbons and adornments, remnants of polychrome cold painted pigments in the nostrils, mouth and eyes. Handcrafted in ancient China, possibly during the Ming dynasty, or earlier; possibly even from the Tang Dynasty (7th century). On the bottom nicely shaped and slightly hollowed base, very stabile.
