This Land Rover 109" Metal Top was first used in the year 1969 and is now 54 years old. This car was imported and registered in the Netherlands in August 1969. The Land Rover 109" Metal Top currently has a replacement number plate. The wheels are powered by a 67 hp LPG engine. Mass: 1845 kg, exempt from the Dutch MOT, given the age. The LR has been completely restored, rebuilt entirely a few years ago, chassis is galvanised and coated, bodywork and steel parts galvanised, painted newly and professionally. Steel frame of the 3 doors and bonnet / engine bonnet are also galvanised. It was restored and is in very good condition. We found no damage to the bodywork. We did not notice corrosion on the outside of the vehicle. We have not identified any signs of major repairs. Paintwork The vehicle was fully repainted during restoration. The colour of the vehicle is original. The paintwork on the vehicle has been carried out professionally. The paintwork has been maintained very well. Chrome/attachments The chrome and attachments are complete and in very good condition. The vehicle is equipped with a roof rack. Chassis The vehicle is fitted with a rigid axle with leaf springs and telescopic dampers at the front and back. The wheel suspension is original. Visually, no defects could be found. The shock absorbers do not leak anywhere. Steering The ball circuit steering gear is not energised. We have not found any excessive play in the steering. The steering gear is original. Brakes The foot brake is energised. The vehicle is fitted with drum brakes all around. The brake pressure is sufficient. The copper brake lines have been replaced during restoration. The handbrake is operated mechanically and acts on the rear wheels. We have not found any defects in the brakes. Rims The vehicle has steel rims. These are not original. The rims are in very good and undamaged condition. Tyres General Type Grabber Size: 235/85R16 235/85R16 Profile depth is more than sufficient Spare wheel, usable tyre on steel rim Engine The ADO 23 4-cylinder water-cooled 2,286-cc 49-kW OHV inline engine is mounted lengthwise. The engine is original. The engine is equipped with a Zenith 361V downdraught carburettor. The head of the engine was professionally overhauled recently by an LR specialist, so it can be used with LPG. It runs without noise and shows no leakage. Exhaust The exhaust system of the vehicle is original and does not leak any gas. Gearbox The vehicle is equipped with a 4-speed manual transmission with high and low yaw and manual control of the four-wheel drive. The gearbox is original and functions properly. Power train The vehicle has four-wheel drive. We have not found any defects. The vehicle is equipped with freewheel hubs. Electrical installation Wiring: this is a 12-volt installation. The wiring is original. The wiring is visually in good condition. Lighting The vehicle is equipped with double headlights / headlamps. The glass covers of the lighting are intact. The reflectors are not worn. Audio The vehicle is equipped with a D-Vison CR450RBU radio/CD player with MP3 and Bluetooth. Instrument panel All gauges and clocks are original and work properly. Inside of the vehicle The interior is original and can be described as neat and tidy. The vehicle is fitted with faux leather upholstery in the colour black. The upholstery is undamaged.
