No. 7288423
Antique Japanese sword ( Koto katana in koshirae) , Muromachi period ( 14th/ 15th century).
Antique Japanese sword ( Koto katana in koshirae). The blade is forged in the Muromachi period (1394-1428) in the Etchü province by swordsmith Moriyoshi ( Hawley 25 MOR445, Toko Taikan ¥3.8M 655) and signed " Moriyoshi saku" ( tachi mei). The blade has its original old polish and has some fine scratches, "mokume-masame hada", "gunome-choji hamon", no rust, no bendings in the blade, no chips and the "cutting edge" is very sharp.
The blade has a small "fukure kizu", guaranteed no hagire.
Total length in koshirae: 94.5 cm.
Length of the nagasa: 68 cm.
Motogasane (blade thickness at the nakago): 6 mm.
Motohaba ( blade width at the nagasa): 3 cm.
"Ubu nakago" (not shortened).
The kashirae is in good condition and has some traces of use. Nice old "kodogu" (sword fittings) make the sword complete! The sword has a copy of the "torokusho" (Japanese registration certificate), the original remains in Japan. This beautiful sword is complete and is in a very good collector's condition. Will be sent by insured and registered mail.
I do my best to describe the condition of the item as well as possible, including possible flaws.
