Very large skull of a Woolly Rhinoceros (Coelodonta antiquitatis) from the permafrost of Russia. The age of this fossil is ca 42000 years old. The length of the skull is 86 cm the breadth is 37 cm and the heigth is 67 cm with mandible. The totale height with the horn is 114 cm. The mandible has been gnawed on by hyenas (Crocuta crocuta spelaea). The length of the horn 85 cm. Ca 1% restauration of the skull and jaw. Due to the solid state of this fossil skull, no preservation media have been used. The skull has been perfectly stable as long as it has been in my possesion, that is about 10 years now, This fossil skull is sold as you see it on the photos with stand and two custom made horns.
